Thank you south Puget Sound! My Schedule is full to overfilled and I can no longer take on new clients at this time.
Basic Service Questions:
Q: How do you get a quote or schedule a walk-through?
A: Email, call or text to set up your courtesy walk-through! It’s hard to get an accurate quote without a detailed list of the tasks to be done. If you don’t have time for a walkthrough before you need a cleaning or organizing project done, I can provide a list for you to fill out as a self-walkthrough so you can still pick what specific services fit your needs!
Q: When are your operating hours and days?
A: Normal operating hours are Mon-Fri from 10am- 5pm. In addition, if you have an Air B&B or rental cleaning request, I’m more than happy to fit you in on the weekends.
Q: How far are you willing to travel?
A: Up to about 20 miles from Olympia for my standard rate ($25/hr). I'm willing to travel further, but there would be a required gas fee added to the total cost depending on the distance and travel time.
Q: What if I need to reschedule your cleaning within 24 hours of the cleaning?
A: After the second last minute rescheduling, I’ll need a non-refundable deposit of half the cleaning amount to reschedule you for a third date. This takes up slots on my calendar that I would otherwise have tried to fill with other clients. Thank you understanding.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: I do not require a deposit upfront to start with, but I’ll need a 50% deposit after the second last minute rescheduling to put you back on the schedule a third time. I will also require a deposit of 50% for future cleanings if there is issue with payment on the day of a cleaning.
Q: Is $25/hour a flat rate? Do you have any other fees?
A: Travel more than 20 miles outside of Olympia has a travel and gas fee. 20-30 miles is $5, 30-40 miles is $10. Please make a special inquiry if you are looking for service outside of 40 miles past Olympia.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Venmo, CashApp, and cash. Unfortunately, I cannot accept a personal checks or credit cards themselves.
Q: Do you do rentals and Air B&B units?
A: Yes! I can fit Air B&B cleanings into my schedule! My availability for these are more limited during the week, but I’m more than willing to come in on the weekend to help out busy hosts. I'm a registered cleaner on Air B&B cleaning apps as well!
Task Questions:
Q: Do you do windows and sliding glass doors?
A: Yes! I do the inside of windows including tracts, glass, and sills. I will also do sliding glass doors inside and out including tracts and glass as weather permits.
Q: What about blinds?
A: Yes! Please keep in mind that blinds can add a lot of time to your cleaning per set of blinds depending on type and condition of the blinds.
Q: Do you do laundry?
A: Yes, with your supplies. Keep in mind that more than running the washer and dryer (i.e. folding or storing) can take significantly more time.
Q: Do you do dishes?
A: Yes! I can do dishes upon request! Otherwise, I will put a small amount of stray dishes in the dishwasher if they’re in the sink and the dishwasher is obviously dirty when I am cleaning the kitchen sink.
Q: Do you do the insides of dishwashers?
A: Yes! I can run a tablet through, clean out the filters, and wipe the inside walls and door.
Q: Do you do the insides of washing machines?
A: Yes! Keep in mind that washing machines do take a little bit longer than it takes to run a full cycle. I run a tablet through, wipe the outside and door, clean out the soap tray, and wipe the inside.
Q: What about cleaning out the lint trap slot on a dryer?
A: I can vacuum the lint trap slot with a special vacuum attachment.
Q: What kind of organizing do you do?
A: Bookshelves, clutter, kitchen cupboards, pantry, garage, closets, bathroom cupboards, attics, storage spaces, and more!
Q: Is there anything you will decline to clean?
A: Biohazards such as blood, feces, urine, pet bodily waste and waste facilities (such as litter boxes or pet cages), rodent or insect infestations, black mold infestations, or caustic chemicals. I also don’t clean artificial flowers beyond basic dusting. For storage and garage spaces, I do not clean oil/transmission fluid/etc. Thank you for understanding!
Q: What if I want to have other tasks done than was discussed prior to the time of the cleaning?
A: If a list of tasks have been allocated to fill a specified time frame, keep in mind that adding extra tasks to that time frame means other tasks may need to be skipped to still fit into the allotted time slot, unless you would like to add more time to your cleaning for the day.
Product Questions:
Q: Do you use ammonia, bleach, or vinegar?
A: I do not use bleach, ammonia, or vinegar.
Q: What kind of cleaners do you use? Are they heavily scented? Do you use bleach or ammonia?
A: Whenever possible, I use the most effective, safest, and natural cleaners that I can so that I can do the most efficient and effective job possible. I can provide a detailed list of cleaners and their ingredients upon request. Nothing that I clean with should have an overwhelming odor when used regularly. Please keep in mind that if a scent is heavily concentrated in an area after a cleaning, i.e. a lot of wooden surfaces, a lot of glass surfaces, a lot of stone surfaces, etc. then the scent will be stronger temporarily and likely linger longer because of the amount of cleaner used at the time. Click here for the ingredients for the supplies that I use.
Q: Why do you select the cleaners that you use?
A: I research types of surfaces and the best kind of cleaners for those surfaces, factoring in effectiveness, efficiency, ingredients, and cost.
For example, I use a pH balanced floor cleaner that is all natural and safe for all floor types that is a non-rinse formula, so once I’m done scrubbing and wiping down the floor, I don’t need to go back and do a once over again to rinse it to get a good finish.
I use an orange oil furniture cleaner that is also a polish, that’s incredibly effective on cabinets, tables, wooden furniture, and banisters. I can get dust, stuck on debris, light grease, and more as well as leave a great polished finish on the wood. The glass cleaner I use contains perfume-grade alcohols, which are the best cleaning agents for glass, since they have the lowest risk of interactions with other materials. The alcohol has a quick evaporation rate, which keeps it from leaving a film and adversely interacting with materials surrounding the surface that still need to be cleaned.
Q: What if I want you to use a different cleaner than you supply?
A: Please provide the product and it will be noted on your cleaning checklist in the future. Keep in mind it may get different results and take longer than with the product that I supply. I use the supplies that I do because of avoidance of scents and chemicals that I am sensitive to, that also are high quality, effective, and efficient. They check every box for me in my toolkit, including saving you the most amount of money on that task by getting it done well and quickly. Remember that if a task will take longer than previously anticipated because I’m not using the cleaner that I supply, it means time to do other tasks is cut, and another task may not have time to be finished without going over a specified time frame.
